Flynn Sentencing Postponed

News  |  Feb 1, 2018

Lawyers for Special Counsel Robert Mueller and President Trump's former national security advisor Michael Flynn have asked a judge for an extension on sentencing. Flynn pleaded guilty in December to lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak and is cooperating with prosecutors.

Mueller's team asking for more time with Flynn comes exactly two weeks after prosecutors and defense lawyers delayed a status check-in with Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and also is cooperating with the special counsel.
