Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team spent most of the day Monday interviewing President Trump's former press secretary Sean Spicer. According to Politico:
During his sitdown, Spicer was grilled about the firing of former FBI director James Comey and his statements regarding the firing, as well as about Trump’s meetings with Russians officials including one with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the Oval Office, one person familiar with the meeting said.
Spicer is the latest on what is shaping up to be a significant list of current and former White House officials Mueller interviews. The special counsel's team met with former chief of staff Reince Priebus last Friday and retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, the National Security Council chief of staff, on September 28th. Kellogg stepped in as interim National Security Adviser after President Trump fired Michael Flynn.
