As expected, Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team has submitted its sentencing memorandum to the Virginia court and is okay with Paul Manafort serving the recommended 19.5 to 24.5 years in prison for his financial crimes.
This would essentially be a life sentence for the 69-year-old Manafort. He is also facing a separate case in D.C., where a judge recently ruled that he had violated his plea agreement with Mueller.

On page 23, the government says Manafort is not too old to break the law again, especially given his most recent offense happened when he lied to prosecutors late last year.
