Alec Baldwin stars in a new video for TrumpCrimesWatch.org explaining how you can get involved to help protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference and possible Trump campaign collusion.

The actor, known for portraying President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live,” appears as himself in a video billed as an op-ed piece launched by Trump Crimes Watch. In the video, Baldwin points out guilty pleas stemming from the yearlong probe.
The campaign is coordinated by groups including We Stand United, Public Citizen, The Loyal Opposition and Stand Up America.
Trump and his legal team have repeatedly attacked Mueller’s investigation as overly broad.
Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani has said the president might pardon those ensnared in the Russia investigation once Mueller is finished, if he believes they were treated “unfairly.”

Trump Crimes Watch is a new campaign to inform the public about the serious crimes already uncovered by the investigation and to protect it, which is so important as Trump, Fox News, and some Republican members of Congress have launched a coordinated attack to undermine it. Their lies and misinformation have obscured the fact that several top Trump campaign and Administration officials have pleaded guilty to serious crimes, and there have been over 20 indictments.
Accompanying the video and campaign launch, Alec Baldwin said, “The American people need to know the truth: Mueller's investigation has already uncovered many serious crimes including by top Trump campaign officials. That's why Trump is so scared, why he won't answer Mueller's questions, and why he's talking about pardoning himself and his aides like some kind of king. It’s imperative that everyone gets the facts and calls on Congress to protect the investigation including Mueller and Rosenstein.”

Actor and filmmaker Fisher Stevens, who directed the video and is a member of We Stand United, said, “We made this video because Trump, Fox News, and some Republicans in Congress are trying to hide the truth from the public about ties between the Trump Campaign and Russia, as well as other serious crimes. We are demanding that Congress step up and defend our democracy and the rule of law by protecting Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein, and letting them complete the investigation.”
