The Guardian explains why Christopher Steele's dossier -- a collection of memos revealing Russia's intentions and deliberate interference in the 2016 presidential election as well as alleged Trump campaign collusion -- appears to be more relevant than first disclosed.
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) shared during a press conference on Wednesday that the issue of collusion is not off the table as far as his committee is concerned, but that in the absence of being able to speak with Steele directly, leadership was done exploring the validity of the dossier. Shortly afterwards, CNN exposed that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team had met with Steele to discuss the dossier sometime during the summer.
The Guardian's report breaks down the ways in which Steele's discoveries appear to coincide with the information we already know and what investigators still are working to verify.
