Another Mueller Interviewee

News  |  Feb 16, 2018

Former Trump legal team spokesman Mark Corallo reportedly met with Special Counsel Robert Mueller for more than two hours earlier this week.

The Daily Beast:

He isn’t expected to go in for another interview, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The New York Times reported last month that Corallo’s conversation with Mueller would likely involve topics related to potential obstruction of justice.

... [T]his isn’t the first time Mueller has brought in people close to his subjects’ legal team—which has raised eyebrows. Mueller previously subpoenaed Jason Maloni, a spokesperson for the legal team representing Paul Manafort.

Corallo left his role with the Trump team mid-July 2017 after just two months, reportedly, in part, because he feared exposure to possible obstruction of justice. Corallo is believed to have important information about President Trump's role in crafting a false statement about Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with Russians at Trump Tower on June 9, 2016.

Politico reported on January 19, 2018 that Corallo had lawyered up in anticipation of being called to interview with Mueller.
