Sandberg: "We're Angry. We're Upset."

News  |  Oct 12, 2017

In an interview with Axios' Mike Allen Thursday morning, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg explains what Facebook is doing to help investigators looking into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, including giving them both the ads and the pages that created those ads.

She adds that Facebook now is investing heavily in machine learning to more aggressively go after fake accounts, hiring more people to review ads and increase oversight, and working on transparency in advertising.

She is less forthcoming with Allen when it comes to exposing when Facebook first found out it had a Russia-linked fake ad problem.
