Russians: Trump is "Only Viable Option"

ABC News has learned that several posts from what appeared to be a grassroots American group called "Secured Borders" will be among the 3,000 ads Facebook is turning over to Congress. The Kremlin-linked Internet Research Agency, a troll farm operator, created Secured Borders and circulated targeted posts to swing state voters.

Secured Borders pushed a strong anti-immigration message and proclaimed “the only viable option is to elect Trump.” It also spread openly pro-Trump memes referring to immigrants as "criminal alien scum" and calling for the border wall.

ABC interviewed a former Internet Research Agency employee who "described how young Russians posed as Americans, working 12 hour shifts at the company’s headquarters posting comments on American political issues selected by their bosses."

She added:

"Troll factory is a very appropriate name for it because it really is a large-scale production that works around the clock, and they don't take time off for holidays, lunch nor sleep. A huge quantity of content is being produced.”
